Overview
This page explains the main ways information may be processed when you use DiseasesConditions.org. The site does not require a user account to read medical reference content.
Technical information
As with most websites, the hosting and delivery infrastructure may process technical request data such as IP address, browser or device information, requested pages, timestamps and security-related logs. This information may be necessary to deliver the site, maintain reliability and protect it from abuse.
Third-party assets
Some front-end assets may be delivered through third-party content-delivery networks. When your browser requests those files, the provider may receive standard technical request information. External links, including links to professional profiles or source organizations, are governed by the privacy practices of those external services once you leave DiseasesConditions.org.
Analytics
DiseasesConditions.org uses Google Analytics 4 through Google Tag Manager to understand page use, content engagement, internal search demand and tool interactions. Analytics data may include page and device information, approximate location, interaction events and search terms entered into site search or site tools. Please do not enter names, email addresses, phone numbers, medical-record details or other directly identifying information into site search fields.
Where consent is required, analytics storage is held back until the visitor allows analytics. Google consent signals are used for this purpose. Analytics data may be exported to the project’s Google BigQuery environment for aggregate content and product analysis. Cloudflare Web Analytics is also used as a separate traffic baseline and is designed to operate without client-side cookies.
The site does not currently use these analytics controls to activate advertising cookies. Advertising-related Google consent signals remain denied in this build.
Contact information
If you contact the project through an external professional channel, the information you send is processed for the purpose of responding to your message and maintaining the related correspondence. Please do not send sensitive personal health information through general contact channels.
Your rights
Depending on the law that applies to you and to the processing, you may have rights relating to access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or data portability. The legal notice and contact page identify the responsible operator and project contact details.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the site introduces new functionality, analytics, advertising, forms or other services that change how data is processed.
